It's safe to say that I have a bit of an obsession for chapsticks. I have about 20 differant kinds if chapsticks and about 5 of the same kind. What? I like my lips moisturized. LOL. My best friend is thinks I need help because I have a chapsticks in every room I go in around my house. lol So, my "obsession" started last summer. I went to california for the summer with my sister and mom, It was a lot of fun! We all went to the beach and chilled out on some lounge chairs for a few hours and I didn't realize how sunny it was (I was wearing sunglasses) and didn't put any SPF chapstick on my lips... lets just say I came home with some badly sunburn lips. My lips hurt for 2-3 weeks straight... it stank. I really couldn't do much about it. After that I never wanted to go outside without chapstick on my lips and since then I never have. :) So, here is a post dedicated to my collection of chapsticks that have kept me from getting sunburned lips...again. Warning: this post inculdes a lot of pictures of chapsticks! lol
I'm am going to start by show my least favorite and least used ones first.
First is a bodyshop lip butter I got for christmas. I like it but I just don't like how it turns my lips white when I put to much on and I put a lot on when I use chapsticks.
The next one is a nivea shimmer one. I don't really like this one for the same reason as the first, it makes my lips to white.
The next is a burts bees one, the name is island and it smells really good. I will probably use this one more during the summer as the smell reminds me of the beach. It's really moisturizing and nice.
This blistex one is pretty nice. I bought it when I had the sunburn and it helped a lot. I don't use it much because I have my favorites but I like to use it once in a while.
Another burt's bees that I like but don't use to much. The smell bothers me a little so I can't use it to often.
This burt's bees was one I got when I had the sunburn. I love it but I am almost out and I don't want to fork out $4 for a chapstick. ya know. Most of my chapsticks were on sale.
This softlips I love and think I will use more come summer because it is SPF 15 and the cherry smell is awesome!
I love this one for summer because it's great for moisture and it is SPF 30. I actually just bought a new one! summer here I come!
This is bagbalm and I did a post earlier about it
(Find that here :)). This is a smaller container of it that I use only on my lips if they need some moisture fast. I don't use it to often because it doesn't smell like cherries or anything. I mean farmers use it for cows so they don't make it smell fufu but its awesome for moisturizing.
This is the eos and I got it in strawberry and I love it. It's quick to use and has a little moisture to it.
Vaseline rosy lips I got on amazon and I like to use when I want a little bit of pink on my lips during the day.
I love my carmex but I don't use it often because I have heard bad things about it. I only use it after I scrub my lips and it feels so good, it feel like my lips had a spa treatment.
I love this vaseline lip therapy original but I'm almost out and I dont want to buy more because of my coco butter one.
I have the vaseline coco butter lip therapy and love it!
This is the yes to pomegranate and it is SPF 15 so its great for summer!
This is just a big vaseline coco butter I got before the lip therapy and I use this as chapstick too. It's great also!
One of the last is my yes to grapefruit lip balm. I love it because it's very moisturizing.
And last but so not least is my vaseline lip therapy in aloe vera. This is my very favorite lip balm! It is soo very moisturizing and awesome. It also smells amazing!
