Winter, December, and Christmas!

I am in love with winter, December, and Christmas! I'm actually one of those weird people who is more excited about someone opening the present I got them rather than my presents from other people. haha XD
My favorite thing about Christmas is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ (Even though he wasn't born on Christmas :)) and spending time with my family! One of the things we like to do as a family on Christmas is tell funny stories about our childhood. What is something your family does on Christmas?

Now that I'm talking about Christmas and Christmas presents. I went shopping with a friend just yesterday and bought a lot of Christmas presents (we were also being goofy weirdos haha). Now I can't tell you the presents I got for people because they read my blog... So I thought I would show the presents I got for myself and for my horses. I usually don't get presents for myself but I had enough money so I thought 'what the heck!'. I had planed to get some makeup for myself but my friend wanted to go to tractor supply first. I ended up getting all my stuff there. I am such a country girl! instead of make up I get a new knife and work hat! haha.
I thought I would include this picture I took because it is prefect at describing me. :D

The first was a new work hat! YAY! I really needed one. The next was a new knife which I got for only $12! It is so awesome! I love it! My friend needed one to so now we have matching knives. Haha. The same freind told me about this awesome "Hoofmaker" lotion by "Mane 'n Tail". This lotion can be used to help strengthen horses hooves (hince the name "hoofmaker" ). Of course I haven't had it long enough to tell how well it works (I love the feel of it) but my friend has really weak nails but her nails have been really strong since she used this lotion! Def worth a try! BTW it's only $2.99 at tractor supply! The shampoo came as a value pack with the lotion for only $5.00! I just couldn't say no! I am going to give my horse a bath this weekend using this shampoo and putting the lotion on her hooves too! Last but def not least is my bot egg knife. My horse Lady gets bot eggs really bad and just using razors wasn't working, so I got this. I have used one of these on a friends horse and it works so well! Best part it was only $3.49!

Hope you liked this haul! It was a lot of fun writing and shopping! XD Hope you have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

E.l.f. Haul!

So I know it's Christmas and I am suppose to be buying for my family but e.l.f was having a deal and I couldn't resist. ;) I am putting pics of everything I got... which is a lot... so beware!
Displaying IMG_20131105_155005.jpgDisplaying IMG_20131105_154632.jpg  My big bag of e.l.f. XD.

Displaying IMG_20131105_155436.jpgDisplaying IMG_20131105_155341.jpgDisplaying IMG_20131105_155425.jpgMy first thing: lip balm! Second: I got the powder blemish kit. Then some brush shampoo. I have heard that you can use baby shampoo but I like this better. Next, this mist and set.  I have heard about highlighters. So I figured that for a buck or 2 I try it. So far, so good! :) I have never tried false lashes and for 2 bucks... I like them. Next eyebrow stencils. I gave these to a friend because she like them and I have thick eyebrows so I didn't need them for filling in any eyebrows.

I am 17 and yet I have problems with eye bags. (I know its weird but I do. :/) So I got this eye refresh and it helps in the morning in waking up my eyes. You know being a teen you get pimples. So I thought I would try the zit zapper and I like.

Displaying IMG_20131105_155545.jpgThe eye shadows came to me free and I was very happy when I got them but... they are black and grey colors and I have brown eyes so... it didn't work with my eyes very well so I gave them to my friend because they looked very pretty with her blue eyes. :) So they live with her now.

Displaying IMG_20131105_155633.jpgI have a small... okay big obsession with make up brushes. So I got a bunch of brushes and I don't think I can name them all but its a bunch. Well I do some other posts I will mention these brushes so you will see them then.

Mascara review

I have always loved maybelline mascaras! Now I love them even more!
I got the colossal and falsies mascara about 3 weeks ago and love them! The colossal mascara, well it was love at first site. It is so amazing! It gives great volume and length. I just love it so much! lol
IMG_20131006_150917.jpg

Now the falsies, I had heard great things about this mascara and really wanted to try it. I love trying new things. Even my older sister who has told me everything I know about makeup said it was great so I had to try it! I got it and to be honest I didn't like it at all. It was very clumpy. So I was about to throw it out but because I hate throwing make up out I decided to give it another shot...and I still didn't like it but I couldn't bear to throw it out. As I love cherrytruth2 blog she said in a post about mascara to wiggle the wand at the base of your lashes...so I tryed it with that mascara. Now it works great and I love it.
IMG_20131006_150927.jpg
These mascaras have become my favorite mascaras by maybelline. They go on so smooth and with almost no clumps at all! I so recommend these mascaras! I also recommend that I you have skin like mine (trying new things doesn't make you break out) to try new products... you may be surprised at what you find, I know I was. :)

My Life The Past Weeks!

I know most of the posts on my blog are about beauty products but this is a post about my life. Okay, so... I am a complete country girl! I love dirt, tractors, and horses! When it comes to guys, being a country girl means I like country guys. You know, the ones with belt buckles, boots, and ball caps ;) Well I have a chance with a country guy like that, but I'm not sure if I want to take it, because he is pretty darn awkward. I’ll explain. It's pretty cliché how we met. If you can figure, my story starts at a rodeo. This is a long story, so get comfy, and grab some popcorn. Wait! Scratch the popcorn, because you might be choking on it from laughing so hard by the end if this story. Well I had decided to go to a rodeo with my best friend, Ann, one evening. For a while it was boots, dust, and good- ol country stuff. Sounds like a fun night, right? Wrong.

Well, to beat around the bush it was fun until everything happened at once. Ann and I got stuck in the parking lot because her poor truck wouldn't start. Thankfully a couple of country boys offered to help us. They jumped our truck and we were off to the races. To make sure we got "home safe" ;) they asked for our numbers. So, we made it home that night and didn't realize that was not the last of our adventures, nor the last we had seen of them… Sure, this guy, Dan, texted me a little. But MAN was he awkward! I swear he wouldn't know how to have a normal, social conversation with any girl in the world, nor did he have the slightest idea how to conduct himself in front of one in person. I’ll explain.

So, as it turns out my best friend, Ann, had previous plans to go to an upcoming rodeo, and I thought I’d tag along. Turns out these hairy- legged boys would be at the rodeo too, that weekend. So, when we got there we ended up bumping into them, no, literally, we practically did run into them on our way to the stands. They asked if we wanted to sit together, so, we said sure.

Why the heck we said that? I have no clue.

These guys were polite, but just as awkward. We sat down to a nice view, but I noticed, that guy, Dan, was still standing.

I mean geez, there was practically a whole row of empty seats and he just stands there. As the rodeo went on, I had to smell my armpits to make sure I wasn't the one scaring him off. *sniff*. Nope. Armpits are clear. I think the guy was just shy because seriously he was like a football field away. ”Oh yeah, let’s sit together, so I can yell at you though a megaphone just to talk to you.” AWKWARD…

Oh well. You have to feel sorry for the guy… anyways, it was a fun night other than the awkwardness.

Any hairy-legged boys out there: beware of the armpits, because, man, apparently they stink!

If you were not laughing your rear off from this story, then you need some help, because you have some serious problems!

Do to the fact that this is the internet; names in this story were changed for the safety of those people.

Amazing Nail Polish!

I got the Covergirl outlast stay brilliant nail polish about 2 weeks ago and love it! the colors I got are forever festive (A ruby red) and constant caribbean (A shiny blue).

I painted my nails and toes, (nails with the blue and toes with the red) and it has stayed on my toes for a whole week and looks the same as when I painted them... I can't say the same for my nails because when I paint them I like to pick off the nail polish the next day.

Covergirl.com

I was bored and browsing the internet and came across covergirl.com. I have found that they have some cool stuff there like this.> Practical tips like how to apply foundation, choosing the right shade and more.
SEASONAL UPDATE
Don’t wear the same foundation with a summer tan as you would in the winter. Skin color changes with the seasons, so your foundation should change, too.

TO BE PRECISE
For the most professional application, use your fingertips or a triangle sponge to apply foundation. Natural sea sponges don't cover evenly—save them for your bath. Instead, try foam wedges—the smooth surface strokes on evenly, the tapered edge blends make-up into tough to reach spots like corners between the eye and nose.

BRIGHT-EYED TIP
Use foundation on your eyelids even if you never wear shadow. It evens out the lid’s tone and instantly brightens.

THE BLEND TREND
Be sure to double-check your neck when applying foundation. To avoid a severe line where your makeup stops and your neck begins, start at the center of the face and blend outward, gradually applying with a lighter touch as you approach your neck and hairline.

SHAKE THINGS UP
If you are using a liquid foundation, always shake the bottle vigorously before applying.

FINE LINE TAMER
To smooth fine lines, normal to dry skin types should prime their skin with a primer like COVERGIRL and Olay Simply Ageless Primer. Primers moisturize and even skin tone for a smoother makeup application.
They also have some other cool stuff that you should check out. :)

Beautiful you!

Did you just say utter cream!?

Yes, the title is "Did you just say utter cream!?". I have found that using utter cream as lotion gives you the softest skin ever! Here in Texas we have crazy cold and dry winters and my knuckles were so dry they were cracking and bleeding (sorry that's a little gross) but I started using utter cream every night and it healed my skin in just a few days! So if you want really soft skin I would so use utter cream!

I just put the bag balm on and then put tube socks on my hands right before I go to bed

I use this type of utter cream called bag balm you can get a 10oz tin for 7.99 at tractor supply

Welcome!

Welcome to Beautiful you! I made this blog so I could share beauty secrets with you all! I will tell you why my url for this blog is Beautifulyou31, first the beautiful you is because we are all beautiful because God made us that way, and  the 31 stands for my favorite verse Proverbs 31:30 "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." but blogger wouldn't let me put Beautifulyou31:30 for some reason. Well I hope you all like my blog! Thanks for reading!
